Following the total collapse of the server and subsequent reinstall, everything is slowly getting back to normal. I've tested all core functions and most services seem to have recovered, but I would appreciate your feedback if you notice any errors. To do so, just leave a comment in this thread and I will update with progress reports as appropriate. To be sorted... - Battles system crons (testing) - FIXED. - Backup scripts (daily file & DB rsync) - FIXED. - IRC Services (bot & logging) - FIXED.

I am gearing up to go house-hunting, so it has become painfully apparent to me that I need to reduce my monthly outgoings and wasted money. One way I have of doing this is to offer hosting on the Biorust server. There is currently MASSES of bandwidth, disk space, and CPU power just sitting there doing nothing, so there's nothing to lose! I can offer full virtual hosting (with domains, etc), mySQL databases, e-mail boxes, crons, etc etc... all with a friendly virtualmin control panel interface. If you are interested just send me an e-mail with your requirements and I'll work up a quote for you. It won't be expensive for anything encompassing regular usage (i.e. in the region of $10-20 per month). =]

Have no worries - the 7 hour downtime last night was not an error, but courtesy of our data center who were performing some planned maintenance that involved disconnecting the server and physically moving it around. Now that the hardware has had a little vacation, though, its back up and working again. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Calling all Biorust members. We're looking for submissions for our 2nd Biorust themed wallpaper. So here's the idea, each person who would like to participate gets a square. That square needs to be designed at 72DPI and 320x256 pixels. Please be sure to sign your tile with your Biorust screen name, but other than that, you can do whatever you want with your tile. Showcase your best photo or graphic, design something brand new... whatever you think looks good. There are 16 open slots and all members are welcome to participate.
